Text Box:   Everyone loves parties… whether you are hosting one or attending. One word is pertinent here… RESERVATIONS.  Reservations are always needed ahead of time. Contact James Thomas for your party idea and he will let you know how far in advance he needs a notice and if a deposit is needed.

  We also cater parties whether they are in our building, your home, in the Community Center or another location. James will create the food for your party perfectly and will have it ready when you come pick it up. He uses disposable containers so that you needn’t return them. Take the hassle out of cooking and contact James to discuss your idea. James has been catering for many, many years and because of this, he will make your party seamless when it comes to the food! As a result of this, your guests will remember your party for years to come!

  We appreciate your business because we know there are other venues in the area and we strive to give your party the best that we can offer. Whether it is our space, our food, our bar, our service or anything that we can provide you, we want to do that for you. 

  We can safely and easily feed up to 300+ people at a time in the clubhouse. We have 4 rooms available for seating that are fairly large and one large boardroom that is available for smaller parties. Pictured below is our dining room and bar area. In the winter, we have the gas fireplace on which adds a nice ambience. All in all, we want your experience to be the best that it can be at Spices On The Green!

  Each year on Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day and Thanksgiving, we host a smorgasbord from 11am - 2pm (MST). If you’ve been to one, you know how popular it is. It is always a flat rate per person and it is “All You Can Eat” Surf and Turf (see pictures below). It’s delicious! These special parties always have Chef James’ hand-crafted Prime Rib with Horseradish & Au Jus, Peel-and-Eat Shrimp with Cocktail Sauce, Steamed Mussels, King Crab Legs with melted butter, White Fish and/or Salmon, Warm vegetable dishes, Fresh Salad Bar and an array of beautiful desserts. All fit for a King… It’s a fun way to share that special holiday with a loved one. What a treat! Make YOUR reservation today!

  We ask that if something comes up after you’ve made the reservation and can’t attend, to please call James so that he may offer your spot to the top of the waiting list…. And there’s ALWAYS a waiting list for these special meals! We appreciate your willingness to do this for us.

Directions to Spices On The Green, 48680 Snead Drive, Burlington:

The restaurant is located 2.3 miles from the town of Burlington, Colorado on the country club grounds.


    To get to Snead from the interstate, head north on Lincoln Avenue (Exit 437 on Interstate 70), go through the light at Rose Avenue, cross the railroad tracks and turn east (right) onto County Road X. From here you’ll travel approximately 8 tenths of a mile and turn north (left) at Snead Dr. Follow this road until you see Hogan Dr. (West side of the road). Instead of turning left at Hogan, drive at an angle and you will have located the Burlington Golf Club’s club house and Spices On The Green.

History on Chef James Thomas:

    Barely out of high school, eighteen year-old James travelled extensively overseas in the Orient and fell in love with the vast amount of flavors. He knew he could provide his own unique twist to the common overcooked steak that so many restaurants offer.


    As a result of 32 years of being a chef, cooking for United Airlines and Sky Chef Airline Catering Kitchens, owning and operating several restaurants in Denver and catering to private groups, Touch of Spice Catering, Inc. purchased the restaurant, bar and clubhouse at the Prairie Pines Golf Club in Burlington, Colorado in 2003. Chef James Thomas was then placed at the helm.

  We pride ourselves on serving the very best meat available. Currently, we serve 1855 aged Angus beef and offer a special cut nightly. Each of our specials includes a trip to our fresh salad and homemade soup bar. Our wait staff are friendly and look forward to seeing you! We offer a casual dining experience so come as you are… there is no dress code.


  Our meats are dry aged 25 days in-house. We use Wagyu meat which comes to us directly from the Darling Downs region of Queensland, Australia. Wagyu cattle are raised using strict grain feeding guidelines handed down from Japanese (Kobe) Masters.


  When combined with Chef James’ knowledge of in-house drying, marinating, grilling and presentation, the Wagyu meat and its marble is equal to none other. Your steak is grilled to perfection and served at the perfect temperature.


  We also offer a White Fish, Salmon, skewered or grilled Shrimp, Mussels and Calamari regularly. Occasionally, we are able to offer special fish cooked to perfection. We can spice it up or tame it down… we aim to make your experience at Spices On The Green memorable.


  A fresh salad bar and home made soup are available with every meal and included in the dinner specials. Spices On The Green also offers a nice selection of desserts and a full bar to round out your experience.


  If it is a hamburger that you want, we offer the finest Wagyu (Kobe) hamburger available and cook it to your request. Wagyu hamburger is only served at the finest restaurants globally.


  Other popular items on our menu are our homemade Lasagna and Spaghetti. We offer Fried and Baja Chicken and our side choices are Baked Potato, Mashed Potatoes, French fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Sautéed Vegetables or Steamed White Rice.

  We  have a nice appetizer menu that offers wings, chicken tenders, potato skins, jalapeño poppers, chips and salsa just to name a few!
